🚀 GAME CONCEPT

Cosmic Sentinel is a modern retro-style space shooter. You control Commander Nova, Earth's final defense pilot stationed aboard an orbital defense platform. In the year 2189, an invading biomechanical alien armada known as the Void Swarm threatens Earth. Your mission is to hold the line and eliminate all enemy fleets before they breach Earth's atmosphere!

👾 ARCADE HERITAGE

This game is heavily inspired by the legendary Space Invaders (1980 arcade classic). It captures the iconic escalating tension, destructible cover barriers, structured alien fleet movement, and accelerating enemy speeds as their ranks thin out—reimagined with modern 60 FPS graphics, visual effects, synth audio, and boss encounters!

🕹️ HOW TO PLAY

Movement: Use [A / D] or [Left / Right Arrows]. On touch devices, tap/drag directly on screen or use the touch D-pad.
Firing: Press [SPACE / W / Up Arrow] or tap FIRE to shoot lasers. Press [F] to toggle Auto-Fire on/off.
Destructible Barriers: Hide behind the 4 defense shields to block incoming plasma. Warning: both alien shots and your own lasers erode the barriers!
Power-ups & Bosses: Destroy alien drones in Arcade+ mode to unlock Triple Shot, Plasma Beams, Shields, and Extra Lives. Face off against Void Emperor bosses every 5 waves!
Pause / Mute: Press [P] to Pause and [M] to Mute audio during gameplay.
